Races in Munster...Friday 31st of July 2009

This coming weekend, there are no less than 4 races on offer....4 of them on Friday evening, the 31st of July and 1 on the Sunday.

Friday 31st of July...
Cork........The Kinsale Regatta 5 Mile road race starts at 8pm. More details on the Running in Cork website.

Clare....There is a 4 mile race in Kildysart which is in the south of the county, a few kms south of Ennis on the R473 road. More details below...
Kildysart Festival and the 4th Annual Dermot Power Memorial 4mile open road race and 4 mile fun walk organised by Kilmurry Ibrickane/ North Clare Athletic Club will take place around the streets of Kildysart, Co. Clare on Friday 31st July 2009 starting at 7. 00pm with the walk and the road race at 7 . 30pm.

Waterford........There is a 5 mile road race in Ballymacarbry which is on the R671 road from Dungarvan/Cappoquin to Clonmel.

14th Annual Dooceys Bar Ballymacarbry 5 Race number 9 in Ger Wyley/Nike summer seriesRoad and Forest Path circuit,race starts at 7.30 pm. Entries taken at the community centre in the village. Entry fee is €8. Showers and changing facilities available in the centre. Refreshments and prizegiving in Doocey's Bar over the road.

Kerry.........There is a 4 mile race in Kilgobnet, Beaufort at 7pm (.......although it might be 8pm!). Kilgobnet is a few kms south of the N72 road between Killarney and Killorglin.

Sunday 2nd August....
Kerry...There is a 10k fun run in Kerry. Details below...
THE KENMARE INCA TRAIL Charity 10km Fun Run / Walkin aid of Focus Ireland Sunday 2nd August - 1.30pm
The Kenmare Inca Trail - Charity 10K Fun Run/Walk - is being organised by 'The Kenmare Incas' in a major fundraiser for Focus Ireland. The 10km Fun Run is the team's main fundraiser for the Four Peaks Challenge. The trail will start from Shelbourne Street on Sunday 2nd August at 1.30pm, and takes you over the Suspension Bridge, heading for the Sheen Falls, Ashgrove and back into town. The entry fee is €15, with a reduction for kids, and registration takes place from 12 noon on the day. Pre-registrations are also being accepted.
