Kerry...Results of the Ballybunion 10k and Half Marathon - Sat 3rd Apr 2010

Over 1200 people participated in the inaugural Ballybunion Half Marathon & 10k.
The results are still being processed, but the organisers have the category winners here.

The full results of the Half-Marathon are now available HERE

The full results of the 10 km race are HERE

There was a post on the Good Friday Run results page, about GPS distances, and mile markers ? Any feedback ?

Some of the comments that that were on the other post.....

From Joanne......."Interesting point about the race distance - it came up yesterday after the ballybunion half, a number of us who ran with gps watches clocked the course at 13.04 and the mile markers seemed off significantly. At one point a 3 miles to go sign appeared before the 10 mile marker.
Not sure if it was an 'official' race or not though "

AND

From Pat........"Hi, Just responding re the Ballybunion Half. One of the organisers advised that the mile markers had been placed correctly on Friday night, but it was discoverd about an hour before the start that they had been "rearranged" by some pranksters. The organiers didn't see the funny side and signs had to be recovered and replaced in a rush before the start. GPS watches are not always accurate but I do know event had an AI permit"

Another Comment that was left under another post...

Anonymous...."I did the 10K walk on the 3rd April during the Ballybunion half marathon. It was a great idea to have a 10k walk aswell as the half marathon as there were alot of walkers participating-more than I had expected. The walk was challenging as it was hilly in parts. There was a great atmosphere at the start and finish line. Great day all round.
