The numbers in the two road races were down this year by quite an amount. This was most likely due to the commercial Wild Atlantic Run 10k and half-marathon in Loop Head.
The numbers in the 10k dropped by 35% and the 10 mile by 45%. I first thought it might be just some walkers weren't included in the results but that's not the case. Last year, 382 runners broke the hour mark in the 10k and this year, it was 282. In the 10 mile, 122 ran sub 90 mins last year and it was 67 this year.

Total of 2238 took part on the day.1528 adults took part between 5k, 10k and 10 mile. Plus 313 kids took part in the 5k. 397 people took part in the cycles. Some people cycled this year that ran other years.
