Notice...MMRA Silvermines 7km trail run, Co.Tipperary - Sun 12th Mar 2017

From the Munster Mountain Running Association.......If you’re looking for an alternative to road racing, the Munster Trail League offers the chance to try out trail running in the woods and hills right across the province.  The runs are suitable for all levels of ability and include a junior race for 10 – 16 year olds and a free non-competitive run (accompanied) for kids under 10.

Race #4 in the series is in the North Tipperary village of Silvermines, just off the M7 between Limerick (30 minutes) and Nenagh (15 minutes).

The route is 7.4k on a mixture of forest roads and single track starting at the entrance to Knockanroe Forest Recreation Area and will be fully marked and marshalled. The adult race starts at 11:00 with the juniors and kiddies events kicking off at 10:30.

If the weather is favourable, the scenery isn’t too bad either.

Registration will open at 10:00am and you must register before 10:45am to ensure the race starts on time.  For registration details and further information on the event, please visit the event page below.
