Notice...Adare 10k road race, Co.Limerick - Sun 25th Feb 2018

The annual Adare 10k road race is coming up on Sunday the 25th of February 2018 at 1pm. Organised by West Limerick AC, this is always a popular race and attracts a large field of about 500 runners, way beyond the usual 200 or so most races get.

From the organisers......The 2018 edition of the Adare 10k will take place on Sunday February 25th at 1pm. Entry to the race is limited to 850 entries for runners and 100 for walkers. Every finisher will receive a medal.

Update 20th Jan 2018...CLOSED!!!

Following unprecedented demand our Adare 10k race sold out online on January 20th. We have been inundated with requests for entries since then. As a result of our latest meeting between our race committee and health and safety officers we will not be accepting any registrations on the weekend of the race for runners or walkers. While we appreciate that some people will be disappointed, we have the safety of 900 people to think of.

There will be no entries taken in Adare on the Saturday or Sunday of race weekend.

Our fully finalised participant list will be sent off next week to ensure each runner has their name on their chip timed bib.

We will continue to update our page with number collection and other race details.

Thank you to all who have entered and we look forward to seeing you soon.

Can ye not order more??

The problem with race tops is that they must be ordered weeks in advance and there is a certain lead time. Race organisers need to be sure that they get enough entries to cover a certain amount. It's up to the organisers then to figure out what that 'certain amount' is.
