From the organisers Clonmel AC...Preparations are going well for this year's race which once again takes place on St Stephen's Day at 12 noon. This year's event is sponsored by MSD and we are very grateful for such sponsorship. This race has grown in stature over the years and is now firmly fixed on everyone calendar over the festive season. This race over a good course caters for all levels of abilities and all ages.

The race will start at 12 noon outside the Loreto Convent, so the best way to get to the start is to go out the Main entrance of Colaiste Cheitinn and turn right and then go right at the Traffic lights and up to the next roundabout and the start is approx 100m after the 1st exit. The race will finish close to Barlo Motors, which is approx 300m from the traffic lights outside the Race Headquarters, Colaiste Cheitinn.

Major upgrade to Nenagh Indoor athletic track

The 200m indoor track in Nenagh, Co.Tipperary is the only one of its kind in Munster and is used every year for various Munster & County Indoor Championships. In the past, it was the venue for the National Championships but that is now held at the  new state of the art facility in Athlone IT.

As indoor facilities go, it's pretty basic but it's an indoor track all the same. The host club Nenagh Olympic AC have now embarked on a major upgrade.
