Looking ahead to 2010...Ballybunion Half-Marathon

This is the first of a series of posts looking ahead to some new races coming up in Munster in 2010.
Ballybunion 10k and Half-Marathon...3rd April 2010
These are 2 new races for 2010 and are run around the scenic seaside town of Ballybunion in North Kerry. They could probably be best described as being run on a 'commercial basis' rather than the more usual races organised by running clubs.

For the 10k race, it costs €15 if you enter before Jan 1st and €20 if you enter after it.

For the Half-Marathon, it costs €40 if you enter before Jan 1st and €50 if you enter after it.
(Note that this does not include the online registration fees)

    I did the 10K walk on the 3rd April during the Ballybunion half marathon. It was a great idea to have a 10k walk aswell as the half marathon as there were alot of walkers participating-more than I had expected. The walk was challenging as it was hilly in parts. There was a great atmosphere at the start and finish line. Great day all round.
