Races in Munster this weekend...Wed 21st - Mon 26th Apr 2010

Each county is hosting at least one event in the next few days :-

Wed 21st Apr...
Tipperary......The fourth and final race in the Fitzgerald/Nash Inter Firms Road Races takes place at 7pm, and is followed by the Presentation of Prizes in Bernie Macs – Old Bridge at 9 pm.


Thu 22nd Apr...
Cork......East Cork AC are holding the annual Castlemartyr 4 at a new venue at Ballintotis, taking in the Lough Adera Lake at 8pm. There will be a detailed post put up on the CorkRunning Blog.


Fri 23th Apr...
Clare......The fourth race of the Clare Sports Partnership Fun Run series is a 5k at Carron.

Waterford......The Butlerstown 10k is Race 2 of the Ger Wyley Sports Summer Road Racing Series 2010 at 7:30pm.


Sat 24th Apr...
Kerry......The Jack+Jill 10km takes place at Kenmare at 3pm. This is a fundraiser organized by Kenmare Tri in aid of the Jack & Jill Foundation.


Sun 25th Apr...
Limerick......
Jacinta O'Brien Memorial 10k (formerly Plassey 10k) at 2pm.

Cork......West Cork T&F and Open Competition, Day 2, CIT Track at 12noon.


Mon 26th Apr...
Cork......Although this falls in the following week, it's a Monday so I'll give it a mention.
CorkBHAA are holding the 5th annual "Stride by the Tide" at
Redbarn, near Youghal, in East Cork. This is a 4 Mile beach race.

Just to note there's 1 mile road race in Tipperary on Tues 27th of April 2010 @ 8pm in Ballynonty It is the first race of a 5 race series called the Ballynonty Road Series which continues in succession every Tuesday for 5 weeks each week the race builds up a mile in distance until the 4th week which is a 4 mile and ends the 5th week with a 4 by 1mile relay event in which teams are comprised evenly based on their previous times note that you have to run all races to compete in the final relay race
    Prizes will be presented on the final night . all the race finishers finishing positions will be added from the 4 races All abilities will be catered for as there is a first & second division leaders table and prizes also for the winning relay teams The entry fee is €20 for the series please note that there wont be any tea or sandwiches till the final night or prizes for each individual race the aim is to get people to run all 5 races if possible , The numbers for these races in the last couple of years have being low with an average of 30 competing in each race but are great for people starting out or for those who want to try there hand at the smaller distances
