There was a turnout of 80 this year for the Ballynonty 10 mile road race in Co.Tipperary. Conditions were overcast but humid for what is probably the smallest 10 mile road race in the country. While it may not be as high profile as some of the bigger events, the organisers still managed to put on a 10 mile race with an entry fee of €10 and that included a t-shirt! It would make you wonder about all those half-marathons which cost €50-€60 to enter yet are only 3 miles longer!!

i would too thank the organisers for a well looked after early morning road race. i found it a tough hard run but mostly enjoyable.. the spread of food was most enjoyable and delicious..well done too everybody in the community who made this little event a great success..i hope too make the journey again next year..john griffin grange fermoy ac
