Cork...Race notice for the West Cork Run 10 mile - Sun 22nd Apr 2012

This is a new 10 mile road race in Cill na Martra to the west of Macroom and may be of interest to runners in the region as well as runners from Kerry.

From the organisers...The race is in aid of Suicide Aware and starts at 10am on Sunday' the 22nd of April 2012. This is a non-profit event with any money made going direct to the charity to help people in crisis and will be an annual event. There is chip timing and there will be prize money for 1st, 2nd and 3rd both ladies and gents with spot prizes for other competitors. They will have a farmers market on the day and family events for the spectators. The entry fee is €25 for a single runner and €20 for group bookings. Entries must be in by the 20th of April 2012.
