This very popular race takes place this Thursday night at 8pm. Last year we had a record entry of 142 athletes that included a good number of walkers. The Entry fee is 10 Euros and there will be prizes in all the usual; categories as well as spot prizes for both joggers and walkers. There will be post race refreshments as well. Entries will be taken at the Community Hall from 6.30pm onwards. The course is good with a slight uphill on the way out of Clogheen along the Clonmel road and as you take the first turn off. The course then levels out and the last 3k is flat and downhill all the way to the finish, so a good course to achieve your PB for 2013.
The Course records stands at 15 mins for the men set by Gerry Ryan of Loughrea in 2009 while Siobhain O Doherty of Borrisokane holds the Women's record set in 2007 of 17 mins 51 secs.
