  1. John,
I’m just curious as to how the system works. I know Sergiu lives in Cahir but his club is correctly listed in the results as Dublin club Clonliffe Harriers, how can he run in the Munster XC & get his result recorded with Tipperary.
I run with a Cork club, if I was to run in the Munsters would my result be recorded with Cork or the county of my birth? Could I run in the Leinster XC if I so wished.
Genuine query, not a criticism or 1 of those annoying social-media comments that ends in “just saying”, even though it has just ended in “Just Saying”.

  2. I'm not too sure exactly how someone goes about it but there are several cases that I know of where people are running with a club in one county but they run for their home county in Munster and All Ireland competitions.

From the point of view of your club, they will expect you to represent them on an inter-club basis but it's of no concern really what county you represent.

I would expect by default, you'll be entered as a 'Cork athlete' unless you state otherwise. I would suggest you contact the county board of your home county in Leinster and ask how you go about it.

On Athletics Ireland transfer form you have a choice ..A Transfer to another club and on end of the form transfer to another county the choice is yours or you can stay with county your already with .eg move to Dublin club but still you want to ran for the county Tipperary team .TF
