Catching up on some results! This 10 mile race was held in Tralee on Sunday the 15th of February and it was I believe the second year of this particular race. A total of 437 people took part which is a good turnout but it was down 30% on the figures for 2014. Why the drop? Perhaps last year had a bit of the novelty factor in that it was a new race or maybe it's just a sign that there are so many races out there to choose from at the moment?
It would be pretty normal for most 10 mile races to have about 40% women. In this one last year, it was 56% and that reduced to 51% this year.

The reason for the 30% drop off from last year is the price - €30 is far too expensive for a 10 miler. Now before the born to be famous people get up in arms, the figures dont lie & if its €30 to run it again next year the probability is that numbers will fall further.
