Results & Photosof the Tralee Marathon & Half-Marathon...Sun 18th March 2018
The annual Tralee Marathon & Half-Marathon was held this year on Sunday the 18th of March on what was a cold but dry overcast day.
As can be seen from the chart above, the numbers for the marathon continue to decline and were down 31% this year to just 139 runners. Spread out over 26 miles, it makes for a lonely race, especially in the second half. If the numbers continue to decline, you'd have to wonder if they will drop the full marathon altogether?
The numbers for the half-marathon held up this year after three years of decline. A 5k and 10k were introduced last year and those numbers were up this year with 132 and 144 taking part respectively.

Notice...Kenmare Bridge Run 5k & 10k road race - Sat 31st March 2018
The annual Kenmare Bridge Run 5km & 10 km road race in Co.Kerry is coming up on Saturday the 31st of March 2018 at 12:30pm.
As always, the race headquarters is at the local community centre...
This is a map of the two courses.....
Transport will be provided for anyone doing the 5k to take them from the Community Centre to the start line at the Sheen Falls Lodge. Most runners would probably use this section as a warm up for the race itself as the distance is only around 1.4 miles / 2kms.
You can enter on the day of the race from 10:30am.

The final race in the Michael Roche carpets spring series, the Déise College Dungarvan 10K will take place at 11am. Now in its 36th year and one of the oldest races on the local road running calendar the Déise College Dungarvan 10k is always one of the more popular races on the busy West Waterford AC calendar. The event will also see a number of perpetual trophies being presented. We have the Seamus Power memorial trophy to the first male finisher and the Mikey Roche memorial trophy for the first local female finisher. We will be using the fast canal circuit for this race,with the race headquarters at the Dungarvan GAA club house which is where the presentation will also take place.
The Michael Roche Carpets series prizes will also be awarded after this race.

Notice...Michal Rejmer Run Series in Limerick City - Fri 6th, 13th, 20th & 27th Apr 2018
The 5 mile road race series organised by Dooneen AC in memory of former club member Michal Rejmer takes place every Friday evening in April of 2018 at 7pm.
Each race is on the same course every week and is an ideal way to measure your progress. Each race costs €10 to enter online or €15 on the day.

The race HQ is at the Country Club, Old Cratloe Road on the north-west side of Limerick City.
Each race starts and finishes near the Country Club and the route has one climb from about 1.3 to 2.3 miles.
This is followed by a very fast descent!
