Here is a note from Clonmel AC.......Clonmel AC are delighted to have Boston Scientific as our main sponsors for the 7th consecutive year.  This year's race will take place on Sunday 20th August at the new earlier time of 10am. With a €35 entry fee, this half marathon offers great value for money, for the fee you get race entry, chip timing, Performance T-Shirt, souvenir medal, water & fruit at finish line plus complementary post race refreshments which include tea, coffee, sandwiches, buns, biscuits etc served with the great Clonmel AC hospitality!

We will also have a DJ at the finish blasting out tunes to help motivate you on the last 100m, adding to the atmosphere for athletes & spectators alike. Bring along the family to support you & let the kids enjoy the Bouncy Castle in the finishing area while your out running.

We provide small water bottles at our 4 water stations throughout the course & give a choice of 4 Pacers if anyone wants company to achieve their target. At Clonmel AC we want to make the 13.1 miles as enjoyable an experience as possible & with the help of our 100+ volunteers we're there to give you a big welcome & encourage you all the way. We even have the team from South Tipp Physio at the finish ready to give you a complementary massage to relieve your aching muscles. Please read the FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS section on the Boston Scientific Half Marathon tab to learn everything you need to know about the event.

As well as establishing itself as a PB Half Marathon course we're happy to say it's also earned a reputation as a great course for a beginners Half Marathon. Clonmel AC host this event in an atmosphere of friendship & we're there to encourage & support everyone to achieve their goal every step of the way regardless of time, we were even delighted to welcome many Walkers to our event in 2016 & hope to see many more come along in 2017. This half marathon is an 'all inclusive' event, if you train to participate in it, we'll be there to meet you at the end!

With just 10 weeks from Boston Scientific Half Marathon to the Dublin Marathon it's the perfect addition to the marathon training plan to establish your condition in the lead up Dublin.
This event proved very useful preparation to Claire Gibbons McCarthy from Leevale AC who won the ladies race & set the new women's course record on our Half Marathon. Claire went on to run a seasons best of 2:38 in the Berlin Marathon in September 2016.
