Races next weekend in Munster...Sat 6th & Sun 7th Feb 2010

There's no getting away from the fact that the main event in Munster is the Mallow 10 mile road race in North Cork on Sunday, the 7th of Feb. This race which is part of the Munster Ten-Mile Spring Classics Series was supposed to take place on the 10th of January but had to be cancelled due to the icy conditions back then. If you are going to do it, you should pre-register online to take advantage of the cheaper entry fee and avoid the queues on the day. More details on the Running in Cork website...

Kerry...
On the Saturday the 6th, there is a 5 km road race in Killarney, Co.Kerry at 11am. This is the 1st race of 4 in the Gneeveguilla AC 5k series. There was a very similar and successful 5 k race series in Killarney at the end of last year and this one will no doubt prove to be as popular.
