This is a half marathon and 10k completely on the beach, it was challenging and tough. A strong headwind from the sea for both races on the way out and soft sand in places made it much harder than a road race.
But it is was well organised, great atmosphere and what a stunning location - this race is one for calendar.
As a first time event, this was a well organised race as opposed to a fun run. Chip timing & lots of support from the community. I was surprised just how accurate the 10K course was measured due to the difficulties of the terrain. Throw in the tech t-shirt and good value in a beautiful location for 20€ for the 10k. Roll on next year!
