Notice...Tournafulla Wind Farm 5k & 10k, W.Limerick - Sat 17th June 2017

Here is an event which is pretty unique...a 5k and 10k race through a wind farm in SW Limerick. Might be of interest to anyone who wants to take on something different....

Tournafulla Rathcahill 5km ­ & 10km Run

Saturday 17th June 2017

Registration Race Day...10:00am­ - 11:00am
10km Starts @ 11:00am Sharp.
5km Starts @ 11:05am Sharp.

From the organisers....Welcome to the Tournafulla / Rathcahill Wind Farm Run.

Now in its third year, the 5km and 10km routes are a family friendly charity walk / fun run on closed roads and tracks. The 10km route is a little more challenging. This year our chosen charity will see all event entry fees being donated to Bloodbike Midwest. Please checkout their website and facebook page to see what wonderful work they do.

Adare 10k now closed

The Adare 10k road race which is coming up on Sunday the 26th of February is now closed! There will be no entries on the day.

Last year, the race attracted a bumper field of 595 people and that was a jump of 19% on the figure for 2015. The limit set for the race this year was 850.

Many of the races in Munster these days are past their peaks but this Adare race seems to be going from strength to strength.
