Limerick... Possible Research Paticipation Injury advice

To whom it may concern,

My name is Sean Mc Auliffe, I am currently a PhD researcher at the University of Limerick. For the past 2 years we have been engaged in research involving athletes with achilles tendon pain; mainly we have been looking at: The impact achilles tendon pain has on their running and the effects of an individualised rehabilitation program on pain in achilles tendon sufferers.

The first part has involved a brief 15 min phone interview detailing the impact achilles tendon pain has on running performance, daily activities etc. The second part is providing achilles tendon pain sufferers with a comprehensive and tailored rehab program based on their symptoms and deficits by assessing strength, biomechanics, posture etc as well as providing info an appropriate training load and activity.

We are non profit researchers, our only aim is to help people with achilles tendon pain by understanding it more and providing education and rehabilitation free of charge. We have been actively involved with running clubs around the Limerick area for the past 2 years and we are hoping to expand this further if possible. Given the popularity of your website we are wondering if there would be a possibility of providing information about our studies if readers were interested.

Kind regards

Seán Mc Auliffe (BSc),

PhD Candidate, Department of Clinical Therapies, Health Science Building, University Of Limerick.
