A total of 419 runners turned out for this years Rose of Tralee 10k in Co.Kerry on Sunday the 20th of August 2017. While this is a really good number for a race in Kerry, it's still down 23% on last year. As the chart shows above, it has been on a downward slide since 2014 when the numbers were over double what they were this year.

I think a lot has to do with the price, €25/€27 is too expensive on a route that had open roads and traffic. I would have expected price to drop and participation to increase as this is now a club run. Hopefully lessons learned for next year.
