Notice...Glen of Aherlow Loop de Loop Half, Full & Ultra Marathon in Tipperary - Sat 16th Sept 2017


This event is coming up on Saturday the 16th of September 2017 in Lisvarrinane, Co.Tipperary and there is a choice between a 13.1 mile half-marathon, 26.2 mile marathon and a 39.3 mile ultra-marathon.

The route will be fully marked and entry includes a hot meal afterwards and a technical t-shirt.
***Note that places are limited and are expected to fill up fast.***


The course is a 13.1 mile loop. You complete it once for the half, twice for the full and three times for the ultra. The route is on a mixture of hiking trails, forest roads and quiet country roads, starting and finishing near Lisvarrinane.

Race registration, showers and food will be at the Village Hall in Lisvarrinane.




From the organisers.......We are happy to roll out the 4th edition of the Glen of Aherlow Loop de Loop Race.

The race start/finish will be in the village of Lisvarrinane in the Glen of Aherlow.

As with our other long distance races, sign up will include:
Hot showers afterward, full meal, technical t-shirt and aid stations.
Route is fully marked.

Half Marathon (1 loop)         start 12noon     €40 entry
 Full Marathon (2 loops)         start 10am         €50 entry
Ultra Marathon (3 loops)         start 8am         €60 entry

If you have not completed an IMRA race so far in 2017, please follow steps 1 to 3. If you have already completed an IMRA race this year, just complete step 3.

1. Click on ‘register for MyIMRA’ to create an imra ID, login and password
2. Join IMRA for 2017 – registration fee of €10. This will generate a number for rest of year.
3. Click on ‘purchase IMRA products’ and select your preferred race.
You will receive your physical race number on the morning of the race.
