Waterford...Results of the Kilmacthomas 4 mile - Sun 25th Feb 2018

A total of 195 runners turned out for this 4 mile race in Kilmacthomas, Co.Waterford on Sunday the 25th of February 2018. That's a jump of 32% on the numbers last year that turned out for the 5 mile edition so the change to the shorter distance and putting half of the course on the popular Greenway seems to have been a good move.

Notice...Kilmacthomas 4 mile road race - Sun 25th Feb 2018

This 4 mile race organised by West Waterford AC is coming up on Sunday the 25th of February 2018.

The race starts at 11am and costs €8 online or €10 on the day. Online entries HERE

Kilmacthomas is located half way between Waterford City and Dungarvan in Co.Waterford. The course for the race is shown below. It starts on the edge of the town and the first 2 miles are nearly all on a public road which will allow the field to thin out nicely. The last two miles are on the Waterford Greenway as it heads back towards Kilmacthomas.

The course is flat and fast so expect some good times.

RACE 4 MICHAEL ROCHE CARPETS SERIES.
16TH ANNUAL KILMACTHOMAS 4 mile.

The 16th Annual Kilmacthomas 4 mile. This is race number 4  in the Michael Roche Carpets series. Entries will be taken at the community hall Kilmacthomas at the top of the town with the entry fee being 8 Euro. Shower facilities will also be available in this hall after the event for both men and women. Presentation of prizes will take place in the Community hall where refreshments will be available to all.

Notice...Kilmacthomas 5 mile road race, Waterford - Sun 12th Feb 2017

The annual Kilmacthomas 5 mile road race will be held on Sunday the 12th of February 2017 at 11am.

As you can see from the race flyer above, it is being organised by West Waterford AC and only costs €8 to enter.

The village of Kilmacthomas is just off the N25 road and is roughly half way between Dungarvan and Waterford City.

The 14th annual Kilmacthomas 5 mile road race was held on Sunday the 14th of February 2016. A total of 228 took part this year which is down 21% on the 2015 figure but as you can see from the chart below, the annual numbers seem to oscillate above and below an average of about 190.

A total of 219 runners turned out for this 5 mile road race in Kilmacthomas in Waterford. This is up on the figure of 176 in 2011 and brings it back in line with the figures of 210 and 214 for 2010 and 2009 respectively.

Limerick.......The Irish Mountain Running Association held a race from Combe Wood to the top of Temple Hill and back. At 785m, Temple Hill is the most westerly mountain in the Galtees.
