Waterford...Over 600 now pre-registered for the Dungarvan 10

At the Mallow 10 yesterday, West Waterford AC took in another 250 entires for their 10 mile race coming up on the 1st of February. This brings the total of pre-registered entries up close to 600. With 3 weeks to go, it's almost certain that they will get a record turnout on the day.

QUANTUM LIFE DUNGARVAN 10 MILE ROAD RACE ENTRIES REACH 500
Time is "running" out for those interested in pre registering for the upcoming Quantum Life Dungarvan 10 mile road race on Sunday February 1st at 1PM. The online entry system is proving very popular with well over half ofthose registered to-date using this system, you can also of course use our postal entry system to enter and entry forms can be down load from our clubweb site www.westwaterfordathletics.org It's 15 Euro to pre register and 20 Euro to enter if you leave it until the day of the race. ( please note on the day entries close strictly at 12.15 AM) All postal entries can be sent to Ann Dunford, The Green, Kilgobnet, Dungarvan Co. Waterford. We make a final appeal to all local runners to get your entry to Ann on or before Wednesday night feb 21st at the Winter league, The race as well as being the second race in the Michael Roche carpets spring series is also race number two in the John Buckley Sports sponsored Munster 10 mile classic series. All finishers of the Quantum Life Dungarvan 10 will receive the now famous West Waterford AC goody bag, plus a quality long sleeved running top will be awarded to all entrant's, shower facilities will be available at the Dungarvan sports center at back of St.Marys Parish church in the town centre, Presentation of prizes will take place at the sports centre where teas and sandwiches will also be provided. The course used for this race taking in the Canal circuit is regarded as one of the fastest10-mile courses in the country. If it's your first attempt at a 10 miler or if personal best's are your goal this race is the one for you, over a fast course at the classic 10-mile distance. The event organisers were delighted some time ago to announce a brand new sponsor of the event in the guise of Quantum Life Ireland and West Waterford athletic club are indeed delighted and thankful to Mr Mel Shanley of Quantum Life Ireland for coming on board to lend their financial support for the event and we thank them for doing so, with this in mind we must not let the opportunity go without thanking our local Dungarvan Town Council for their added support with this event.
