Event notice...10 Marathons in 10 Days...Sixmilebridge, Co.Clare

In the world of Marathon running, the Brathay 10 in 10 in England's Lake District is famous for it's 10 separate Marathons over 10 consecutive days.

As of 2013, there is now an Irish version with a 10 in 10 in Sixmilebridge, Co.Clare.

While entry for all 10 is closed, people can still enter the individual Marathons at €30 each. Here is some info from the organisers...

· Fundraiser for BMOH A.C (Juvenile Field Development and Kilmurray National School Building Fund)

· All marathons are official - satisfying all Marathon Club of Ireland Race Criteria

· Cost per Entry is 30 euros and includes a finishers medal

· Course is best described as undulating on a Half Marathon Loop with a difficulty level similar to Dublin City Marathon

· Water and Energy drinks available on Course

· 20 participants have signed up for the 10 marathons in a row (as far as I am aware this is the biggest field anywhere in Europe to tackle this challenge)

· Registrations will close June 20th on www.eventmaster.ie

· Start times 5pm weekdays and 2pm weekend days
