Wet, cold and windy weather greeted the brave souls that turned out for this year's Eddie Murphy memorial races. This was the third year of this event with four races being run over the one mile course in the village of Sixmilebridge, Co.Clare.
While those undertaking the 52 mile double Marathon started in cold but dry conditions at 7am in the morning, the rain duly arrived around mid-day making conditions very difficult for all contestants.

Great event, pity about the weather but enjoyed it anyway. Tough course and will definitely do it again.
Hi John,
I ran half marathon on Sunday, race number 427, seems to have someone else name on the list with this number.
Regards
Alison Clancy
My first time doing this event and thought it was very well organised. The shocking weather made it all the more diffucult but found the loop very hypnotic and slightly enjoyed the hill times 26.Praise goes to the marshals who gave great encouragement whilst standing in the freezing conditions. Will be back next year to try the 30 miler
