I did this half and was second female!! No race organiser around to say well done or take photo of top 3 females.
Really challenging race as it was on green road and mountain but scenery was breath taking once you got to top!
Mile markers were well off as fellow runners Garmin said 10 miles at Ml 9?
Water cups were minimal so reckon we shared cups but in intense heat and challenging terrain we just drank it.!!!
No prizes for winners only a medal.
However, if properly organised this event has potential to draw big crowds from mountain running world.
Majority were locals with some holiday makers thrown in.
Travelled from South West to do this run . Enjoyed it despite the fact that I was not aware of so much of it being off road.
Elevation and route description need to be displayed honestly and cearly.
Had great weekend in North Clare.
This was my second time doing this run. It is an awesome course in some of the most beautiful places in the country. It is a pity that more people don't do this event as it has a lovely atmosphere and there is a good spread after. Thanks to all involved. I had a great weekend and will be back next year. I was delighted to come in fourth. A few pictures and a little bit of publicity would go a long way to marketing the event. I have to say that there were sufficent water stations.
