Notice: Dromana 5-mile in Co Waterford - Fri 6th Jun 2025

The Dromana 5-mile road race from Villierstown to Cappaquin is coming up on Fri 6th June 2025 at 7:30pm.

 Event Description:
31st annual Dromana 5 Mile 6th June 2025.

Next race up is the Dungarvan Leader Dromana 5 Mile from the beautiful village of Villierstown to the cornerstone town of Cappoquin.

This race retraces the steps of Waterford's own world champion and Olympic silver medalist John Treacy when he used to run from his home to school as a teenager.  Please note this is a point to point race starting in Villiarstown and finishing in Cappoquin.

PLEASE NOTE THERE WILL NOT BE A BUS FROM CAPPOQUIN THIS YEAR.  WE ENCOURAGE CAR SHARING AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE. REMEMBER THIS IS A POINT TO POINT RACE !

 All number collection will be in the Community Hall in Villierstown from 6.30pm onwards.
Refreshments will be in the hall beside the snooker club just across the road from the finish line.

1st 5 Ladies
Ist 2 Mens Teams (Teams of 3)
1st 2 Ladies Team (Teams of 3)

(Team prizes are outside of individual prize winners).
